Dont Buy Electronic thing from CARREFOUR!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't ever got to CARREFOUR to buy your electronic goods.

why! because they dont know what there are doing with it..

here the story.

my mother buy a electronic ELBA kettle from CARREFOUR before CYN. After using for around 1 month plus, the kettle is not working anymore.

So she call ELBA for warranty(as per warranty card), the ELBA call to send back to were she buy. Then she send back to CARREFOUR with the warranty card, the receipt and her detail


yesterday since so long already she decided to go back and ask for the kettle. because CARREFOUR didn't call.

once she reach there, the information counter ask her to ask inside the promoter. she go inside and ask. then the promotion ask a supervisor to talk to her.

  • C - hi. yes?
  • m - i want to know have my kettle repair.
  • C - what kettle?
  • m - i send my kettle to repair.
  • C - oh ya! you go ans ask the information counter at the front.
  • m - the front call me to ask here.
  • C - oh ya ka!! what kettle har?
  • m - the ELBA mini kettle.
  • C - Why you send to here? you support to send to ELBA for repair.
  • m - i call ELBA, there call me to send back to where i buy. so i send back here.
  • C - ya ka! but if you buy the thing and not working within 8 days we will replace, but your 1 is more than a month.
  • m - but ELBA call use to send here.
  • C - yes! went u send the thing? how long already?
  • m - before CNY i already send for repair
  • C - wah!! that was a VERY LONG TIME already. around 3 months.
  • m - yes, you supposed to call me, but you didn't call, so i turn up to check it.
  • C - did u keep any receipt o trace on this?
  • m - all given to the information counter. they ask for it.
  • C - so u didnt have any thing?
  • m - what you want! all give to you'll went i send back to repair.
  • C - do u see the guy who take your information is around? the person who pick up your thing is no longer here. so i also dont know.
  • m - so no 1 will take responsible on that.
  • C - oh no. it took time for the think to send back here.
  • m - already 3 months!!
  • C - oh ya! 3 month is the minimum time. you go home and for us to call.
  • m - that's means gone already lar the kettle.
  • C - ahahah..... you go home and wait for call lar.. i also don't know went will it send back to here. so you wait.

that fellow trying to push away the responsibility

DON'T EVER GO TO CARREFOUR TO BUY YOUR ELECTRONIC GOODS

THEY GUARANTEED YOU NO WARRANTY AND NO RETURN OF YOUR GOODS!!!!!!!!!!

btw, if i were ur mum, i ald make a scene there. ask to see the mgr, MD, etc, write to newspaper

did your mom get hold of the supervisor's name?

I'd suggest you to call up Carrefour HQ to get the GM's email add and send a nasty complain email to their customer service + cc the GM telling them what you've encountered.

If they're really prompt and pro, they will get back to you with fair compensation. Let the fella kena.. culprits like that can tarnish the whole organization's reputation.

Otherwise, the next level is, you can complain to the press, let them help you make an issue out of it...
